Our client located in north Alpharetta is in need of two Supervisors at their climate controlled electronic repair center (warehouse/manufacturing type environment). Candidates MUST have a minimum of 5 years of managerial/supervisory experience in a warehouse/manufacturing/repair type environment, or in the electronics industry. 

Schedules: Full-time hours. Must be flexible to work anytime between 6am-5pm for 1st shift OR anytime between 3: 30pm-12: 30am for 2nd shift, depending on business needs.

Employment Type: Permanent/Direct Hire

Salary Range: $58, 600-$68, 000/year, depending on experience

 

Summary:

Responsible for managing the repair floor and all other functions and paperwork relating to repair. Preparation  of the repair center work flow, to meet the daily Service Level Agreement (SLA’ s). Management of personnel to  meet productivity and cost objectives in repair area.

 

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
  • Supervisory Responsibilities:
    • Direct supervision of team members (repair technicians), including responsibility for:
      • Evaluating the efficiency and productivity of team members by ensuing performance standards and objectives are met.
      • Initiating disciplinary procedures, as necessary, for direct reports.
      • Ensuring compliance with standard operating procedures of direct reports.
      • Monitor attendance.
    • Manage reports, statistical analysis, and daily tracking/reporting
    • Prepare, Implement and manage repair floor, procedures and expectations
    • Manage employee / team productivity
    • Implement Quality Standards for assigned teams
    • Ensures punctuality and timeliness of the teams
    • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
    • Provides statistical and performance feedback and coaching on a regular basis to each team member
    • Is available for employees who experience work/training related issues and provides appropriate  coaching, direction and resolution
    • Take ownership of customers issues and follow problems through to resolution
    • Establishes work procedures and processes that support he company and departmental standards,  procedures and strategic directives
    • Participate in the introductory training during the release of new products
    • Provide support and training of existing products and new products to other techs in the repair center  as required.

General Repair Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for planning and distributing work assignments to repair center staff.
  • Meets with Repair Center Manager on daily basis to review schedule and ensure production  activities are in line with department objective, time lines and SLA’ s.
  • Clearly communicates production targets and expectations to all repair center staff when  assigning work. Includes technicians, triage personnel, testers, application loaders, quality  personnel and cleaners.
  • Hourly verification of location changes for all repair activities.
  • Track SLA’ s for all RMAs within the repair center. Ensure that all devices can be accounted for.
  • Escalate issues and concerns to the repair center manager as required. Provide feedback,  recommendation and contribute ideas to help resolve production issues.
  • Maintains a clean and neat work area following ESD end safety guidelines.
  • Adheres to all documented work instructions, check list and repair procedures provided by  Technical Support.
  • Adheres to the procedures for the movement, holding and storage of units while in his/her  possession.
  • Follows and conforms to company handbook policies and procedures, maintain department  attendances, vacation and absence policies, health and safety.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

 

Competencies / Skills Requirements:
  • Proven working experience as a Repair Supervisor

Required Education/Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor’ s Degree in management or relevant experience in Electronics Industry
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Supervision or management of a repair center
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft office (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to  successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to remain in a mobile position throughout  75% of the day. The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the repair center to access  file cabinets, office machinery, and repair tools etc. This position requires the constant operation of a computer  and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer, POS terminals, repair tools, calculator;  copy machine, and computer printer. The person in this position frequently communicates with internal clients.  Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations. Must be able to bend, stoop and lift up to 30  pounds in order to assist with repair center processes.

 

Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional repair center / warehouse environment. The job may require alternate shifts  and the shift schedule may change as required (may include weekends and some holidays).
