We are excited to accept applications for the position of Performance Management Specialist  in the Human Resources Administration (HRA) division. The Performance Management Specialists will support Georgia agencies in the implementation of talent management solutions with specific focus on communicating about the state-wide Performance Management Program. We want your enthusiasm and ideas to support the development of innovative, and exciting presentations of Performance Management practices.  We are looking for dynamic, results driven and detail oriented contributors  to assist in providing research, analysis, messaging and technical expertise around competency based performance management.  Our ideal applicant will be self-aware, with a sense of humor and an understanding of how to " connect the dots" and communicate why performance management matters, and if selected will be expected to demonstrate:

Job Duties

Duties associated with this position include but are not limited to:
  • Consulting on the State’ s performance management program
  • Implementing communication plans related to talent management services including website updates, social media postings, development of infographics and other informational tools
  • Developing and designing content related to competencies and performance management
  • Participating in meetings and presentations and preparation of materials
  • Researching, analyzing and reporting data on performance management metrics

Master' s degree in a related area from an accredited college or university AND One year of related professional human resources experience in one or more of the areas of assignment OR Bachelor' s degree from an accredited college or university AND Three years of related professional human resources experience in one or more of the areas of assignment OR One year of experience required at the lower level HR Spec 2 (HRP021) or position equivalent. Note: An equivalent combination of education and job specific experience that provided the knowledge, experience and competencies required to successfully perform the job at the level listed may be substituted on a year-over-year basis.     Preference will be given to applicants who, in addition to meeting the minimum qualifications, possess three or more  of the following:
  • PHR, SHRM-CP, SPHR or SHRM-SCP Certification
  • Three or more years’ human resources experience in Employee Relations
  • Two or more years professional marketing or promotional experience
  • Experience facilitating training
  • Advanced level experience in PowerPoint
  • Experience using PeopleSoft or other HRIS software
  • Experience using PeopleSoft e-Performance 9.2
