Procurement Administrative Assistant needed in the Decatur area. Please read the full job description. This customer will give candidates skills tests with a minimum score of 80% required to be eligible for the position. You will also take skills tests in our office as part of your interview. 

Work Schedule/ Hrs:  M-F   8: 00 AM – 4: 45 PM

Lunch Break:  45 minutes

Pay Rate: $15.00 per hour 

Job duties: 
  • Review all contract files and ensure all documentation is present and in systematic order to support contract execution, renewals, and amendments
  • Sort and distribute mail for Procurement
  • Research invoices and follow-up on open/unconfirmed Purchase Orders
  • Upon receipt of invoices, generate receipts for goods/services to process for payment
  • Create Excel spreadsheets to maintain information determine useful for the department
  • Communicate verbally and in writing to all customers (internal and external) in a courteous and effective manner
  • Assist in capturing and formatting information in Word to create Standard Operating Procedures
  • Assist with research and gathering information for solicitation preparation

 

Procurement Skills:
  • Ability to take Procurement classes (online and in person) and pass all tests at 80% to gain access to systems to perform procurement functions
  • Knowledge of procurement processes, policies and procedures
  • Strong emphasis on accuracy and detail
  • Ability to handle multiple responsibilities to meet goals and deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft programs (Outlook, Excel and Word) at least intermediate level
  • Good time management and organizational skills
